From the suite entry, the floor and ceiling make a nice presentation. You better look at it now- it's about to be covered up for storage of the closet cabinets.

We have plenty of trained eyes looking this over.

A short pass is made with the drum sander to provide a test area for the trial stains. The goal is to match the other upstairs floors. After two clear misses, perhaps the third one may be the charm.

The coffer framing becomes more apparent after painting. Weather forecasts predict that heat wave number FIVE of the season may be starting up tomorrow. Ugh.

The north attic hatch door is painted, showing off Mario's trim work. It is certainly the nicest attic stair hatch we have ever had anywhere.

The coffer section will be lighted by Xenon strip lights inside the rim. The ceiling fan will go in the center. Perhaps Michaelangelo put more effort into the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel, but i"m not sure.

Now the coffered ceiling trim is taking shape. The light cove trim remains to be seen. Temperatures are in the 90's as our fourth heat wave of the summer presses on.
