The master bath at the time of our purchase (I). Good luck getting to those wall cabinets! Note the stupid return air grill used as an access panel for the tub plumbing. There is actually another one around the corner of the tub base.

The master bath at the time of our purchase (II). Anybody see a towel bar anywhere? How about a vent fan?

Jayne ordered these shuttered window blinds. I installed them early on.

The tub at the beginning of my bathroom dismantle. Here the tub plumbing is exposed.

5
Clearly not the neatest installation.

6
I'll have to clean the pump area up.

Here is the master bath corner valance that Jayne picked out. Things are about to get messy here, as the new cabinets are on their way.

8
The first three of Jayne's new cabinets. At this point Tommy from Mohawk Kitchens takes over the work.

9
There's Jayne's detached countertop & sink on the left. We were concerned about getting the marble off without breakage.
9/5/12 12:51 PM
10
Looks good. Getting the marble tops & sinks out without breakage was NOT a certainty, as the marble was glued in place.
9/5/12 12:51 PM
11
I am relieved to find that the cabinet faces were not pre-drilled for pulls, as someone had suggested. Jayne has some custom hardware planned for these faces.
9/5/12 12:52 PM
12
I removed the water and DWV pumbing earlier so that the marble countertops could be removed.
9/5/12 12:53 PM
13
At the end of the first day on the master bath changes, Tommy has the right-hand cabinets looking nearly complete.
9/5/12 5:22 PM
14
By the end of the second day the cabinets on the right side are finished, just lacking handles & pulls.
9/6/12 4:43 PM
15
The left-side cabinets are generally in place. The scary-large marble counter was reinstalled without incident (whew). Tommy got a hand from Grant.

Everyone just realized that the original plan for this set of base cabinets had double doors in the center section. Do we need to make the change? (Of course we do.)
9/7/12 5:17 PM
17
Jayne's set of base cabinets lacks only knobs and the toe kick trim piece (sitting on top of the counter in this photo).
9/7/12 5:18 PM
18
The new wall cabinets around the tub area are installed along with the wall-mounted, wrap-around crown mouldiing.

19
Here Tommy is trying out the panels around the tub base.
9/11/12 12:57 PM
20
The two doors for the center cabinet have been ordered and should be here in a few weeks. Otherwise, this part is done.
9/11/12 3:46 PM

Jayne's vanity now has knobs and pulls installed.
9/11/12 3:47 PM
22
Tommy has finished the tub base baseboard and panels.
9/11/12 3:48 PM
23
Three of the panels are removeable for access to plumbing and mechanicals.

24
The crown and lower rails on the back walls will frame new decorative tile work.
9/11/12 3:49 PM
25
I need to step back and admire this.

Carlo Colonello (Tile by Carlo) is installing the tile work on the wall surrounding the tub.

This is the space for the wall tiles.

Here Carlo is applying the glass mosaic tiles.

Jayne shows up to explain the sketches to Carlo.

Almost done. The border pieces, actually made out of painted steel, still have gaps. We ran short and I had to order more.
11/21/12 1:15 PM

Jayne purchased, and I installed these Xenon vanity light fixtures. They have wire cages that cast interesting shadows.

This photo shows both of the vanity light fixtures, one over each sink.
