8 | From the basement, the much-less appreciated underpinnings of the kitchen plumbing can be seen. The whiter PVC pipes on the left side are entirely new because of the relocated butler pantry sink. The two drains on the right are for the kitchen and island sinks. Sectioning out and replacing the house's main waste line was not my favorite job. It took me a full day to dry out the house's drain & vent system so that the PVC-cemented couplings to join old & new pipes could cure properly.
